Our mission is

                        to be the working hands of Jesus

                            in our present place and time.

                                                Thus,

                        we are not to accommodate ourselves

                         to the status quo values of our world,

                        but to live lives so transformed by Jesus

                    that we are agents of His transforming power.

                    So, we will work and worship in a manner

       that receives God’s gracious reconciliation of ourselves to Him,

               and that fosters such a gracious reconciliation

                                        between ourselves

                                               and others,

                            with special attention to the poor.
